If you add meat to your diet, cut off the fatty area. Eat lean meats including poultry. Remove the skin from turkey and chicken and eat more fish. Fish diets may include oilier fishes, such as halibut and salmon. Omega 3 fatty acids should be included in your diet and polyunsaturated fish because studies have found that these ingredients are linked to reducing the risks of heart disease.

yes! i know just the thing too. when you lift weights do reps of 20 or 30 that tones muscles and adds definition for a sexy body without alot of bulk. lots of sittups. run alot. do cardio activities. do arobic workouts as well. but absolutly you can still lift weights just lift lightly and do lots of reps.

Any chance you get, do little toning excersizes.
In the car, flex your glutes.
Watching tv, crunches, sit ups, leg lifts.
Get up early to jog. You'll end up with more energy than if you sleep.
Eat LOTS LOTS LOTS of fruit and drink even more water.
Yoga ball=miracle.

Since you are in high school, train with the track team. You may not get to participate in meets, but it will be easier to workout with a team rather than try to workout on your own. You will probably get more out of it.

As a track coach and guard member, I've had kids work out with my teams to prepare them for training as well as maintain their training (for the ones who did split-option)

Keep in mind what I'm telling you to do is just geared for training for the PT test. There are a lot of other things you need to do to truly be in "good shape". If this is all you're doing as far as PT goes then do program A on day 1, program B on day 2 and take a day off (day 3). On the next three day cycle do program C on day 1, program A on day 2, off on day 3. On day 1/B, 2/C, 3/OFF. It's a continuous three day cycle with two days of work one day off and rotating drills.

A: 2 mins of PU, 2 min of SU, run 2.5 miles as fast as you can.
B: 1 min of PU, 1 min of SU, 1 min of Wide Arm PU, 1 min of flutter kicks, do ten 60 second sprints (as FAST as you CAN) with 120 seconds of walking in between.
C. 1 min of close hand PU (thumbs touching), 1 min of SU, 1 min of PU, 1 min of suplon bicycle. jog/(walk some if you have to) 4-5 miles at a maintainable pace.

This will work well for the PT test. Once you're comfortably passing the PT test, I'd suggest doing some weights, circuit training and all sorts of other things to improve your total fitness.

TO START: make a habit of taking the physical option in daily life. getting up to change the tv w/o the remote. walk instead of driving, park farther away, take the stairs etc etc. organize swimming and picinics and hiking days with your friends.

Join a local sports league or two and have fun!
